I am both a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and a Registered Psychotherapist (RP). I have two masters-level clinical counselling degrees: a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree as well as a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Spiritual Care & Psychotherapy, both from Wilfrid Laurier University. For over 7 years I have worked to help people overcome a variety of challenges including stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, emotional difficulties, addiction, grief, and loss. I feel grateful to be able to work with individuals on their healing journey.
My belief is that insight and self-understanding are crucial components to living a meaningful, fulfilling, and rich life. My approach is intended to help you create shifts in your life that you find meaningful and significant, heal from past or current experiences that are affecting you, and achieve insight.
I specialize in using depth-psychotherapy approaches to assist individuals in healing. My use of depth- psychotherapy is a compassionate approach that includes exploration of unconscious aspects of the self, while also working toward self-empathy; I aim to create a warm environment for you to be able to explore your thoughts and feelings freely, while also using evidence-based therapeutic methods to work towards relief of symptoms. I use a multi-faceted approach, including Cognitive Behavioural therapies (CBT, DBT), Psychodynamic therapy, Jungian approaches, and Emotion Focused therapy. Together we will work towards achieving your particular therapeutic goals.

Each session will involve:
An insight and compassion based treatment in order to enhance understanding of yourself, your patterns, your feelings, your behaviours, and reactions in life. This assists with making mental, emotional, and behavioural shifts.
A mindful therapeutic approach will be used, which assists with diminishing distress both during and after each session. This includes the encouragement of nonjudgmental awareness and acceptance of yourself.
